- Bilingual Interpretation Program, Utah State University Museum of Anthropology, 2008-2010. The museum received an Innovation Grant to hire four bilingual high school students to interpret and digitize audio recordings in English and Spanish for the permanent exhibitions during the summer of 2008. Students earned 3 USU college credits, concurrent enrollment credit from their high school, and are paid interns, requiring fulltime participation in the museum for a 10-week period. Select responsibilities included:
-Direct supervision of interns.
-Development of curriculum for the 10-week period.
-Coordinate all intern activities of research, interpretation, writing, and recording.
-Oversee the research of audio recording equipment, recommend equipment selection.
-Coordinate Spanish and English components.
-Review and evaluate student work and participation.
- Bilingual Interpretation Program beyond the granting dates – oversee and instruct graduate and undergraduate students in exhibition interpretation, script writing and audio recording for museum audio tours. This is a modified continuation of the initial Bilingual Program begun in the summer of 2008.
